I stumbled across these on youtube:

It looks like they're building an operational scale model of the gliders in Nausicaa. Does someone know more about them? I think it's fascinating what they're doing, and I'd really like to hear more about it.

Ah, that project from Japan. Didn't know they finished the large version, last I saw it was the smaller one.

There was a public demonstration of the Mehve Project on 31 July.

If you dont remember we did a discussion on it here in the thats amazing thread . it is the plane glider from Nausicaa

there is a even better video

it seems to me the leg tap gear is also implemented(it seems from the video) , and also it works in a similar way of that mehve. i only found it out two years ago by mush. then it was quite unstable. it looks very stable now. Hobby project that has been going on for a long long time(10 years) .very very cool indeed
