No, honest, the TCR dub is one of the better ones. I especially think Tim Curry is awesome, the best English voice acting I've seen in an anime since he's just so funny. But the Elwes reference might have slipped in by accident... he's pretty good though and has exactly the right accent for the character. Even though the Baron is a German-made doll and is owned by a Japanese person he looks very English and I can imagine a teenage girl's fantasy version of him having a middle/upper class British accent.
But yes, Disney's stereotyping of gender etc is atrocious. Anastasia was quite good though, that one broke a couple of barriers even if Anastasia did have to have a male bonding partner and a father figure to help her through her story... .
I wonder how much control of subject they plan in these deals? We might be pleasantly surprised.

Disney has a few good films. Personally I consider Lion King to be one of the most important films of my time, at least. Of course, a lot of them are still firmly rooted as "children's films", and there's nothing really wrong with that.
Finding Nemo is also a Disney product (though Pixar) that I would rate as a very good film, for what it is....Many of their best work (Aladdin, Lion King, Mulan) is from the 90s, though.

Ephrath, you quoted Mushka there but I wrote the lines you quoted. Just thought you like to know.
And welcome to the Tavern.

Yeah, I'm skeptical too... but let's wait for the product before being too critical.
Name the last Disney cartoon that deserved any form of actual praise.
And please don't say Lilo and Stitch.
