Sooo hi.
Basically, there's a contest I entered on this website and I kind of really need to get some more votes on the story. I entered into the Paulo Coelho fable contest and basically what happens is for a couple of weeks or so, people are allowed to go and 'heart' contest entries. The ten entries with the most hearts will go on to be judged by Paulo Coelho himself (whose writing I love and to have my writing read by him would be amazing) and the winner will be featured on his blog and win one thousand dollars. The money isn't why I'm entering at all, although it would be nice, but basically I really really really want a chance in this contest. I love Paulo Coelho. On this website, things like this tend to be more of a popularity contest than anything--whoever has the most friends on the site wins, even if their writing is horrible. My writing style isn't necessarily better, but I really just kind of want... a chance, I guess. I don't know.
Aaaaand now that I'm done with my spiel, I was wondering if you guys could maybe possibly sign up to Figment (it takes like 2 seconds if you do so with Facebook) and heart my story. You don't have to, and I feel sort of bad for asking, but I really want a chance in this contest so I guess I will. Sorry! And thank you!

You could really have expanded several parts of the story, Plot-wise though, 10/10.

Thanks! I am pretty high up there, which is great, it's just now I'm concerned that I won't stay there because a lot of people have been gaining votes more quickly than I have been over the past couple of days. Hopefully I can keep my spot for the two days that are left in the contest! (:

Hi, so, I hate to be annoying and bump this up again BUT I REALLY NEED VOTES. I am in tenth place right now and barely there. If the entry below me gets two more votes, I'm gone. I've failed and I'm way too close and I've worked way too hard for that to happen. so PLEASE--Please vote!
I know it's one of those dumb, annoying internet contests, but it's very important to me and I don't usually even do things like this. I hate bugging people about these things. But please--please help.

(sorry about doublepost) well i came up with a quick story, im going to post it in my post so... be wary its long. Hope you like it.
Your in a dream... You can do anything in a dream, anything at all.
The universe is at your command, use it wisely or you might end up in a nightmare. Anything is possible in a dream, you can fly and swim for hours on end. You can have superhuman strength, or you can revisit your body shape and warp it to your liking.
You can make people love you... you can make people hate you, its your choice your dream.
In a dream you shift into the dream dimension, and once there you can do anything, anything that comes to mind. You only have a few hours to be in the dream world before day breaks, and you must wake and prepare for the human world. But while you are in your dream, you can switch off completely it doesn't matter, everything is back the way it was when you come to. To the future or the past, or be it present day? it doesn't matter, you can do anything you can go back to the past, change it to your liking. Go to the future, and vise versa.
Or stay in present day and think of what you are doing currently in the human world.
When you come to, and wake back into the human world, back into the society system you are back to the impossible world, not much is possible not like dream world. You go to work, or go to school. You may be lucky enough to be home educated but it doesn't matter... You are no longer in the dream world. You must do what the higher person says, and you tell the lower person what to do, but that is not necessary in the dream world. The dream world is your mind tool, use it wisely it may be scary at first but you will come to use it regularly. The mind is a powerful Allie, but you can make it a deadly enemy if your not sensible, and you may drift into the nightmare plane, but you will learn to correct it, and think positively to return to the dream world.
Things are not what they seem, and the mind. Dream worlds home, is one of them.
