im a new member in the Ghibli Tavern and think this is a fantastic site. Im a fan of Ghibli films since the first time i have seen Spirited Away. But i have to say that i have watched only two Ghibli films until now: Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away. That's because in Germany you can't find a lot films of Ghibli Studios. I hope i will learn a lot about Ghibli films here.

Hiya and welcome! Glad to meet another fan of Ghibli films. I am not very sure but Germany may have a Howl release in the future. You may also consider importing the R2 Japanese DVDs if you really love the Ghibli works. The enjoyment you can get well worth all the costs. Anyway hope that you will enjoy your stay here!

Your English has no problem at all. At least I can understand what you are saying. And yea, just like a few members around here, I am also not an English native speaker. Indeed I have been using the English BBSs for brushing up my written English, and I am very satisfied with my improvments. The only problem is that I cannot find any chance to practise oral English, which is totally pathetic... (^_^;; )

Yes i could import the movies directly from Japan but i don't know where . I saw some Ghibli films at Amazon.de and i will buy them in the next time (Grave of Fireflies, Kiki's Delivery Service and Nausicaä).
By the way you are right, in Germany the release of Howl's moving castle in the cinemas is next week.
Im look forward to this day.

BBS is the shorthand/acronym for "Bulletin Board System." Discussion forums is a kind of BBS . But I am not sure if the plural form of the word has the "s" suffix or not.

You certainly will not miss the theatrical release if Howl, will you ? Like other Ghibli movies, Howl is made for the gigantic theatre screen (A quote of Miyazaki, "My films are made to be watched in the theatres" ). It is a must to see it in the theatre at least once in order to fully appreciate its breathtaking visual beauty and eye-popping effects. No TV-screen, not even a plasma/LCS, can do it justice.

Anyway I am sure your viewing experience of Howl will be highly enjoyable and unforgettable.
