Nowadays pop is crap. It was definitely better back then, even if it was before my time.

What? No middle ground?

I don't love eighties music, and don't hate. (I was born in the late '70s so grew up in the '80s) There are some songs I really love. Like "Eternal Flame" and some I don't love.

And others that I did not discover that I liked until very recently. So I did not vote in this poll.

Actually as a decade of music I prefer the '70s, but again there are also some songs there that I do not love.

Oh goodness! I used to have one. And yes, I use to wear those stupid rubber bracelets and leg warmers and jelly shoes. Then I was a "goth" and listened to a lot of Morrisey and The Smiths and had my hair dyed purple on one side and red on the other. Lets try not to bring that 80's look back - ugh. What were we thinking?

I kinda pictured either Blondie or Siouxsie and the Banshees (they are the famous babes in the 80's from what i've heard).

Hope she's flattered.

Thanks guys! I am flattered ha ha ha. I do wish I have photos to post. It was the weirdest stage of my life. But it was fun!

The movie "Pretty in Pink" started it all. I dressed like that lady that owned the record store.

I selected the third option as I grew up throughout the 80s and therefore the music will always bring back memories and I still like a lot of A-Ha's music - do you realise they are still making music, they never went away unlike Duran Duran etc. who have recently tried to make come backs. But I am aware that although I like a the pop from the 80's it was rather naff and that for proper pop music you have to look to the 70's before that you have rock and roll and in the 90's and beyond the closest you have to pop is the horrible manufactured bands which are now coming from all these tv shows. Which serve no purpose other than lining the big cat's pockets.
