Um yeah, that's about the only way you can contact them. Don't think they entertain calls, frankly.

And Konnichiwa is "hello". Goodbye is Sayonara. Honestly, I thought everyone knew that from Hollywood movies and such.

We got at least one native here, Nanashi, but at least 4 of us understand Japanese; Nanashi, Jiji, dballred and me (me being the worst, I'm still studying it).

Welcome to this forum.
I don’t think it's easy for you to contact Ghibli personally.
If it’s Pixer or Disney or Gonzo or Queen Elizabeth, it’s maybe same.
They are getting tons of letters and mails from fans all over the world.
Refer to FAQ of Nauccica net. They explain it plainly.

Me too!! I might speak Japanese better than Roarkiller because I’m Japanese, very poor at English though…
Maybe Roarkiller doesn’t count me because of my bad English.

Hey! How could you leave out Kanta? I really enjoy reading Kanta's posts. I love it when you write about Japan (the weather post) and sushi (the sushu post). Keep it up, Kanta!

Your English is very good; I understand everything you write

Thanks you for warm words, Phyrra!!
To tell you the truth, I’ve wanted to say one thing to you. Once, you said you are fond of rail in a reply to my post.
I am a big fan of railroad. I’ve longed for British railroads for long time, especially narrow gauge like ROMNEY rail. I want to ride it someday. In Japan, railroad fanning is popular in urban area. But I live in rural area and there is only one line around here. So I can only see a few kinds of trains….
This picture was taken by an English rail fan few years ago. Unfortunately this sleeper (SUISEI) was taken off last year because passenger were getting less. I live just near here. Only 1 mile from this river. Let’s talk about railway!!!

The Japanese trains are the best...

What is the Skinkansen like? Have you been on it? English trains go very slowly...

...Your Bullet Train is much faster

Some years ago, I went to Yorkshire and visited a museum where I went on an old train. I also saw some of the first train parts...

You want British railroads, but I want Japanese ones!!

I don’t like Shinkansen. That’s only fast but not interesting at all.
And it mostly runs in tunnels like underground railway.
I live far from Shikansen line and far from Tokyo, I rarely ride on it.
When we go to Tokyo or Osaka, we usually use airplanes. Airplanes are faster and cheaper than railway.
So sleepers are taking off everywhere in Japan.
I like slow and small railway like Mt. Snowdon railway in Wales.
I also like urban and suburban railway. In Japan, there are many private railways in Tokyo and Osaka area.
If you want to see Shinkansen, refer to this site.
http://www.h2.dion.ne.jp/~dajf/index.htm
I'll post new thread about railway. Join me!!
