Wow, I've never heard of that before!
Why would Ghibli keep it from the public? I'm sure all of us would like to see it...
How did you come across that, Toolfan? I'd love to see it... although I'm not sure about the neko bus having a child... sounds a tad dodgey if you ask me...

Studio Ghibli has produced several short films that were only shown in the Saturn Theatre of the Ghibli museum. Miyazaki likes the concept of making a film that is free from commercialism that kids can really enjoy as a once in a lifetime experience. Three new ones were released this spring, and both Wikipedia and ghibli world have pretty extensive info on them.
We can only hope that one day they will all be compiled and released. But, there is a pretty good chance that will never happen.

That's from a few years ago.
And yes, if you visit the Ghibli museum, you get to see one of the exclusive shorts. It won't be shown anywhere else, so if you wanna see all of them, take a long vacation in Japan and lots of tickets to the museum.

Neither have been shown at the Ghibli Museum; the first Ghiblies was shown on Japanese television in 2000 but has not been released on DVD; the second Ghiblies was shown in theaters alongside The Cat Returns in 2002 and also released on Japanese DVD alongside it.
