''Tokyo Tensei Shingo'' Opening (Animated by Studio Ghibli) | |
Here is a little-known piece of Ghibli animation I found while perusing youtube.com: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MICi-CzYU3Q
It's the opening of a show called ''Tokyo Tensei Shingo'', animated by Studio Ghibli in 2003. It reminds me a bit of Yamada-kun and Ghiblies .
EDIT: It's directed by Yoshiyuki Momose, btw. His major non-animator credits at Ghibli include:
*Layouts for "Grave of the Fireflies"
*Storyboards and Visual Design for "Only Yesterday"
*Storyboards, Visual Design, and Image Building for "Pom Poko"
*Computer Graphics for "Princess Mononoke"
*Continuity, Scene Location, and Production Manager for "My Neighbors the Yamadas"
*Director and Writer for "Ghiblies Eps 1 and 2"
*Director for "Three Capsule Music Videos"
Also, does anyone have the "Friday Roadshow" intro animated by Studio Ghibli in 1997? Supposedly, Miyazaki directed it. I'd like to see it .

I've got the sequence on DVD taken from a 30-minute TV special. It's not really that big a deal, but Miyazaki did animate it. I'll see if I can put it up somewhere. The special also has the Yuki no Taiyou promo.

Here's a link to the Yuki Promo. In case you're wondering about the shovel sequence, she does that when she is overcome with joy.

I'm still working on the Friday Roadshow sequence...
