Try www.barnesandnoble.com. "Puss in Boots", "Animal Treasure Island", "Panda Go Panda", "The Castle of Cagliostro", and "Sherlock Hound" are all available on Region 1 DVD.

It hasn't been released in the US, but there is a Region 2 DVD available from Great Britain, although unless you have a Region 2 or Region 0 DVD player, you won't be able to play it.

Two options here. 1) You can watch Horus on my weblog, or on YouTube. Subtitles aren't included, unfortunately.

2) You can download the fansub version of Horus. The direct link can be found, again, on my Ghibli blog. Also, remember to send an email to Discotek, asking them to release Horus on DVD here in the States. They've already released a number of Toei Doga movies....including Animal Treasure Island, YAARRGH!!!

Avast! To the pirate ship, we sail!

I think Castle of Cagliostro is on Region 2...and I think it's also on a Region 1 DVD too...

By the way, I was looking for hols Prince of the Sun in amazon.com but didnt find it, so I had a look at amazon.co.uk. Apart from panda Go Panda, i found it under the title The Little Norse Prince... (I had heard of it before, but hadnt realised it was the same )

I've seen it. It's really good--but it's soooo sixties. Like the music in Nausicaa is soooo Eighties.

Well, I sympathize with everyone who would prefer to have an actual Horus DVD to add to your collections, but for right now, the definitive version is the fansub. The only other option is the UK PAL release, and the subtitles on that disc, are terrible.

What I always suggest is that you send a friendly email to Discotek, expressing your desire to see Horus released here on DVD. We would be able to supply the proper subs, and hopefully a few more extras. Oh, and be sure to support them, as they're a small outfit.

This time I'll really promise myself to send them an email tomorrow and see if I can help with the Horus DVD.
