Wow, I can't pick.

I'd say Asbel from Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind; preferably from the manga version, he's pretty epic in that one.

Alternatively I'd be a state alchemist in FMA, Shizuo from Durarara, the Heavy (from TF2), or Haku from Spirited Away.

ADW: Plus all the bronydom and FiM adds a slew of other characters...

This might sound a bit weird, but (since there's just too many animes and games to pick from), I think I'd be a character from the "Moomin" series. For those who doesn't know, it's an anime for kids based on the Finnish author Tove Jansson's books about "Mumintrollet" or "Moomin". I watched it a lot when I was a kid. It's probably the happiest and most peaceful world I can think of.
