I just think we should treat everyone, regardless of race, gender, sexuality, age, or anything inbetween, equal. We're all the same at heart, so...

A lot of people at school just assume I'm gay because I'm not super into sports and my voice is kind of feminine(Husky can tell you that). I wish people would realize it isn't that simple.

Saddles, surrogates are not even necessary, there is always adoption...

Flare: "my voice is kind of feminine(Husky can tell you that)."

Remember that one time when we Skyped and you said my voice was a lot more feminine than you assumed it would be? I get that a lot.

I find gender discussions really interesting, 'tho I rarely participate. I don't know much about that, so I prefer to just listen and read.

When I was a kid, I spent most of my days at home, I had no brothers or sisters of my age, so I always played by myself. My father lived in another town and we didn't talk to each other and my mother was always busy at work. So I kinda grew up alone, elaborating my own ideas and doing whatever I felt like. I loved videogames, I loved climbing on trees, I loved dolls, I loved toy cars, I loved princesses, I loved super heroes all the same. For me, there was no such thing as gender stereotypes.

It was only when I went to school that I noticed that there was a HUGE difference on how people dealt with boys and girls. I suffered with that, because I identified with none.

I was always with the boys, played soccer with them, talked about videogames, Saint Seiya and whatnots. Because of that, when I was around 7-9 years old, I didn't want to be a girl anymore. In my mind, I was a boy. I wanted to wear what they wore, be treated like they were.

Growing up, I realized that it really wasn't how I felt in my heart. I liked being a girl while I identified with the boys too. I was, as Saddles put it, somewhere in the middle.

Anyways!

What I think is: being boy or girl is based on your biological condition. Gender is identity, like fingerprints, and everyone has their own.

When people talk about gender, they seem to want to put labels on everyone, based on a binary concept. "Women do this, men do that". It really annoys me.

Sexual attraction is a totally different matter, now. It's how you feel towards other people, regardless of how you feel towards yourself (which is the gender thing).

All in all, my point of view is:

Sex: biological condition
Gender: you <-> yourself (regardless of sex)
Attraction: you <-> other people (regardless of gender and sex)

practically your are saying gender is your personality, right bel?

if thats true then people should not be judged by their personality[positive that is] or appearance.

it is us that judge people differently on those points, i dont think that is right.

but i do not understand how it is an identity, cause identity is something that makes people recognize you. and that is where i do not understand why it is necessary to identify my gender

its as if i want people to not judge me based on my appearance cause i am afraid that my personality will give them wrong impression

i think that is wrong. it is not my fault rather it is their fault to judge me. Adding or thinking that my gender identity is something, is like adding a meta-data for my personality. i understand that to live without trouble it is necessary to add that but we should be more brave to make people accept as we are[positive that is].

You know, most of the time I respectfully disagree with Saviour's opinion, but here, I think you are spot-on. I think the biggest problem in the world is that people judge too much on stupid things, and it bothers me because in middle school one screw-up can ruin your reputation. I know that sounds a little pretentious and whiny, but it's true, middle schoolers will judge for anything.
I do, however disagree, I do think gender is part of your identity, because I believe it is something that makes you, well, you. But, I can see how one could disagree.

That's exactly what I dislike on how some people look at gender, Saviour. They look at it as if it's a label and judge people based on that.

Of course, my gender is part of who I am, but I'm so much more than that!!

I relate to your point.

Sex: biological makeup.
Gender: may or may not be influenced by societal factors which in the end is decided upon the person themselves; aka gender is a social construct.

Sex and gender are two completely different things and make up a person all together. That is, if you "choose" to have a gender or not. IN which many of times- it comes natural and not necessarily a choice (identifying with a particular gender or not).

Glad we all agree on this. I dislike it when people judge based on "gender" or just appearance alone. It's hard not to, though.

Also thank you everyone for supporting me b/c of my bad health. I appreciate it.

From what I remember, "felice" might be right in Italian, but I don't know about the whole expression. Aaand besides, that probably isn't what you were aiming for anyway.
