Posted by Theowne on 08.17.2007, 02:01 PM: Actually, if you check out the staff for Byousoku 5cm, he stopped his 1-man show already:

Posted by UO on 08.17.2007, 02:05 PM: alright fair enough, but he needs a writer lol

Posted by Roarkiller on 08.18.2007, 12:07 AM: That's like telling Miyazaki to stop doing fantasy
Posted by Saddletank on 08.18.2007, 05:09 AM: Agreed. I can't imagine Satoshi Kon making a movie that doesn't mess with my head. Each director has his signature and long may Shinkai mess with my emotions.

Posted by Loscil on 08.24.2007, 07:14 AM: Yeah...
Posted by Roarkiller on 08.24.2007, 09:52 AM: It's out on DVD, yes, but no subs.
Posted by Loscil on 08.25.2007, 10:12 AM: Ah ok thanks.
Posted by Roarkiller on 08.25.2007, 11:17 AM: You're not missing much. IMO the first one is the best.
Posted by Loscil on 08.26.2007, 11:03 AM: YO!
Posted by Saddletank on 08.26.2007, 01:36 PM: Are the three shorts about the same boy and girl?
Posted by Theowne on 08.26.2007, 02:28 PM:
Posted by Roarkiller on 08.26.2007, 11:30 PM: Actually, no. The second one barely touches on Akari. In fact, the main character isn't even the boy; it's another girl totally from Hiroshima, his new home.
Posted by Theowne on 08.26.2007, 11:43 PM: Which is why I said "not in the way the first one is".
Posted by Loscil on 08.27.2007, 08:31 AM: Yes, I know Im sorry about that.
Posted by Theowne on 08.27.2007, 11:57 AM: Yeah, they could, they're not related in an immediate sense. But I think the general question people would have is, "do the second two clips continue the story of the first one (versus, are they just unrelated shorts)". And the answer is yes they do continue it, even if it doesn't do it bluntly. |
