Believe it or not, but I am listening to an old "Lawrence Welk Show while waiting for the top of the hour "Antiques Roadshow"... Hahaha, it is so old that they are still using microphones with wires attached... lol

There were guys singing, gals singing, groups singing and a guy tap dancing on steps... All to a backgound band... lol On top of all that within a half-hour, there was an interview with a woman...

And the televised audience were all mostly OLD people!!!

sigh... Who'd a thunk, now I are one myself!!!!

I tried to, but it was too disjointed to my ears... too choppy...
Some may like it, but it is not to my taste...

@ makc...
Hey! You trying to say I'm old? Oh, wait... (looks at user name) I am!!! lol

Yeah, I remember watching the movie 2 or 3 times over the years back in BW all-night movies on TV... I immediately thought of Jeanette MacDonald, but had to look up Nelson Eddy, the duet in the movie...

I've never heard this version of it before... Not bad at all...

oh boy, that IS old. I know this song as a killer song from 'mars attacks' movie. the version I posted just popped up in youtube's playlist today, and I thought of this thread immediately.

It is from the 1936 film "Roae-Marie" A woman is searching in the Canadian wilderness for her brother and meets a Canadian Mountie who also happens to be looking for her brother. Love develops and this was one of the many songs sung in the film...

11 years before you were born, 30 years before you could relate to it, and you watched it 3 times. must be very good movie then?

Hahaha, actually only 10 years before my birth and I probably watched it more for the Mountie parts that the lovey-dovey parts. I'd brew up a pot of coffee and smoke cigarettes all night long while watching the all-night movies... Oh, and I was 13 and 14 when I was doing this...

Come daylight and I'd crawl into bed and go to sleep...

Haha, I almost do the same thing now, except no coffee and no cigarettes and it is not always movies, but I'm usually up to 2 or 3am. (last night 3am)...

2:38 here now, working on my computer, doing things I should have been doing in the day time. but I opted for going to the beach and watching the waves, there was windy weather. and you can't do this at night, unlike computer work. sounds awesome, eh, but don't think high of me, I also spent a good deal of time browsing 4chan porn gif board during the day.

back in Ukraine we had this 'art house' theater that used to run the movies all night long by the price of one. I tried that once, unfortunately it ended 1 hour before any bus or train appeared in the morning, so we had to sit there outside, doing nothing, trying not to fall asleep. lesson learned, just download the movie you want and watch it in the comfort of your home.

2:44 now.

Polyphonix - Rain

Discovered this EDM band through watching an incredible AMV on YT.

...became instant fans of both the band and Nostro, the AMV creator.

What magic do they use to make Ichiro look tall in videos? He's the same height as me but I never would of guessed if I never saw group photos of him standing with other guys.

I love Sakanaction so much. Their music is like food for my soul. Just the right amount of aesthetic I love and remind me so much of home in an odd way, I think because of the fish theme and how similar Hokkaido sounds to where I live.
