Posted by Saddletank on 09.01.2009, 04:17 PM: I think if she does know it adds a lot to the story. But it confuses me too, since Kyon often talks openly with Koizumi about Haruhi being God, etc... therefore she can't be picking up those thoughts. Perhaps she can only read him when he is close?

Posted by Roarkiller on 09.23.2009, 10:49 PM: I dunno, I'm just impressed with Hirano Aya. I think the 2nd season is really more focused on Haruhi's quirks than comedy in general. I mean, who could've guessed that Haruhi can get so childish and stubborn? And who could've guessed that Kyon could be so violent?

Posted by Saddletank on 09.24.2009, 02:52 AM: Yes, that was very good. And Haruhi's reaction equally strong. This series is definitely darker than the first. I find Koizumi to be creepier as well, especially when the sub-plot of him, Nagato and Mikuru all having different theories and agendas about Haruhi was brought up, and Koizumi pushing for Kyon not to argue with Haruhi. Koizumi is no longer a smiling, slightly effeminate device to impart plot but really quite sinister and a much stronger character.

Posted by Saddletank on 09.25.2009, 04:32 AM: Have you an episode listing please? I can't find one.
|
Posted by Roarkiller on 09.25.2009, 07:26 AM: I browsed through a few sources a while ago, and most agree that the entire season has a total of 28 eps, which means only 14 for season two.

Posted by Saddletank on 09.25.2009, 05:02 PM: I thought the whole of Endless Eight (barring the first episode) was fantastic. Very clever and very brave to do that. You couldn't do that with a show that wasn't immensely popular.
