Posted by Kazegami on 10.07.2017, 06:03 PM: It's dissertation research (I think that's "thesis" to those of you in North America?), but also a book I've been keen on diving into for a good while - 'Genders, Transgenders and Sexualities in Japan' by Mark McLelland and Romit Dasgupta. A diverse collection of recent research in various areas of gender and sexuality studies, should be very interesting. Have read a bit of McLelland's work in the past.

Listening to the clickity-clack of the wheels going over the rail joins brought back memories from when I was a child up in Canada riding in a sleeper car.
