I think I just posted Eureka because it's the single from their new album. My only complaint about them as a band would be that their lyrics can get a little hilariously emo at times, but I can only understand the words if I focus really hard, so it's not usually a problem!

Posted by arren18 on 05.29.2014, 12:26 PM: I suppose this is relevant: provided I can convince somebody to go with me (I'm too self-conscious to go alone), next weekend I might be able to go and see Chirinuruwowaka, a band I mentioned here a while ago. I hope I can go!

Posted by husky51 on 05.29.2014, 12:46 PM: I hope you get to go, if not with someone else, then by yourself. Think of it as like being here in the Tavern. We are all different, but we are all here because of a love of Ghibli Studios. You would be at the venue because of your liking for this band and others will see that and respect that. After a bit, you would likely feel more comfortable. True, a few won't see beyond the person, but that is their problem...

Posted by arren18 on 05.29.2014, 09:55 PM: The issue is not of being judged for turning up at all, but rather that when I don't have friends with me, I feel more uncomfortably aware of all the things that I do - so that while going might be fine, I'd feel very conspicuous and it would really affect my enjoyment.

Posted by arren18 on 06.08.2014, 04:52 AM: So I did go to the concert! It was really great and so much fun. I met up with some other friends a while later and went to karaoke, so I'm pretty worn out today.
