  Merry Christmas and others

As I'm making this thread when Christmas Day is only a few hours away here, I thought that I would be honest and make it clear in the title that I'm mainly talking about Christmas. Even so, whether you celebrate Christmas, something else, or nothing at all, enjoy whatever you're doing, and of course the New Year too!

Merry Christmas Arren! Is it largely celebrated in Japan? Hope you're enjoying your time over there Christmas Eve here in the UK!

Merry Christmas to all...

And even if you are of another faith, or none at all, I truly hope for the best wishes to you and your loved ones and a Great New Year.

It isn't really. In December there's been various Christmas-themed things, and supermarkets play Christmas songs, but that's about the extent of it! I actually even have a class today... Anyway, Merry Christmas to you too!

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Speaking of celebrating, any favourite Christmas traditions?

Not necessarily a favorite, but a memory from my youth were the 'Crackers' or whatever they were called. Looked like a big tootsie roll, but you pulled the end, they'd "pop" and you'd get a paper hat and other little goodies...

Haha, Christmas crackers are pretty fun. Unless they're fancy ones the prizes are really lame but in a way that's part of the enjoyment.

My favourite traditions mostly involve food. Other than that, at home we always sit near the tree in the morning and one by one get out the presents and open them. It's a shame I can't do that this year...

I spent my day shopping for stationery, haha. Met a really cute girl at the store too, but as usual I don't have the balls to ask her for anything past the paper I needed.

Also spent half of it with a friend I haven't met in a while. He's gonna be working in Japan next year, so after half of my shopping, I accompanied him to buy suits. We joked about how it's sad that because he's in recruitment, he's not allowed to dress better than the interviewees

Roar... c'mon, one of these days you will have to, as yiu say, 'get some balls'. You know where she works, prepare yourself beforehand and try to make her acquaintance...

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. And if she doesn't respond or rebuffs you, at least you tried instead of just wussy-ing out...

And if rebuffed, you've at least gotten some experience at trying, right!

But a girl that cute will definitely have a boyfriend, right? And as you know, I'm not the kind that can hold a light conversation, which is the source of my non-confidence. I'm actually seriously thinking of getting a girl friend to help in practise conversational skills. Desperate man in desperate

Anyway, hope you guys enjoyed your holidays. Don't get too drunk, and drive safe, and remember that the next holiday is in a week's time, haha.

Well, if you do somehow embarrass yourself, just buy stationary somewhere else next time. No net cost to your life, but big potential benefit

Also, maybe a girl that cute has an ex-boyfriend who only liked her for her looks but she dumped him because he was shallow. Now she's lonely and broken-hearted and waiting for someone to come around and appreciate her for who she actually is. Sigh, how romantic!

... Okay, okay, I'll stop teasing you. But good luck!

Merry Christmas XD
