Just got my copy of the novel yesterday, imported from merry old England to Long Island, NY! One thing I'll mention as I've gone through the first several chapters, it takes some time getting used to the English dialogue and text. At least the cover was updated, to include a reference to the new movie by Studio Ghibli!

Just following up. The book is really a great read. Not to get into details, but there might have been a few gaps in the movie that the book itself fills completely. And the edition of the book that I got (with the Ghibli movie sticker on the cover) included a commentary by the author's daughter, on how her mother was inspired to write the novel and how, a few decades after Mrs. Robinson passed away, a Japanese man who had read the book years before when he was younger took a journey to the UK and visited the regions that inspired it; and how only a short time later it was announced that the novel would be made into a feature film by Studio Ghibli. And the rest, as they say, is history!

The IFC theater in NYC will be showing it next Friday; but I have to wait to get the tickets until the Monday before. It'll be my second time seeing the movie. Can't wait! :-)
