Hi Miyazaki Girl, welcome to the Tavern. We have a curious mix of people here - many of us have been here around a decade now, more or less and its the most amazing internet forum I know because we are like a family with the old dudes like Husky and me and the young kids growing up. Very strange yet very comforting in its own odd way.

Then we get the visitors who come and go... very very few stop around for long. I hope your circumstances and interests are stable enough that you do.

Husky gave good advice - just browse the threads and when you see one that interests you, post a comment. We generally don't post in old dead threads so maybe a good idea to check the date of the last post and avoid posting if its a year old.

This forum is the main place for chit chat and socializing but we have lots of friendly discussion in the 'other anime' forum as well. Ghibli talk goes in that forum, obviously

Main thing is to have fun and enjoy your stay.

I hopefully will be sticking around for a while- take my twin brother for example- he also is on a pretty active forum (for something I am NOT interested in, Game Designers Amanita Design from the Czech Republic...) and he has been on there for a LOOONG time. So hopefully I'm not a disappointment.


Just a bit of warning- there will be periods that I am away at SCHOOL *cue vomity noise* (not really I like school).. And may be pretty busy. But I will hopefully make the long run...
