On another forum I saw a link to this video about doing a Top 100 anime poll. I didn't actually watch the video itself, but it seemed to be a response to an NHK viewers' poll in Japan. It'll be interesting to see what the end result is, and I thought I might as well share it here too.

Most of the Japanese poll is in Kanji so I cannot read it but I see Tiger and Bunny is #1 and has 2 other series in the top ten. Akira squeaked in at #97.

I am doubtful if this was a poll conducted by adults or critics, or indeed means anything at all except that a lot of Tiger and Bunny fans voted.

After a brief scan of the comments on the YT video you can see the same trend. These polls usually never amount to much, sorry for my cynicism!

Oh yeah, I agree. They depend very much on what kind of audience they reach, since they're just general viewers' polls, but that's why I'm interested to see what happens. I'd like to know how this one is skewed compared with the Japanese one.
