  Chie the Brat TV series

There's been an announcement about Takahata's 1981 TV series Chie the Brat (Jarinko Chie) coming out on Blu-ray with English subs for the first time! Apparently it'll be released some time next year. I don't know if the film will also be coming out, but that would be nice!

Yeah, it's a shame things often don't get released on DVD anymore. I can play American Blu-rays so I guess this is okay for me (setting aside shipping costs) but I hope it'll be available in at least some other form.
