PC HELP NEEDED PLEASE!!

Ok so i got myself a new hard - drive, a copy of windows xp, installed it all that usual stuff, then i bought myself a new Creative Zen 20gb mp3 and its all been going fine until yesterday when i was trying to transfer my spock's beard disc one of snow onto my mp3 using the transfer software when to my shock it stops at - Love beyond words and then the rest of the tracks just show up as failed. So then i try using my windows media player to sync it with the mp3 player and it happens again, then i tried a few other cds and they worked fine, but Snow wouldnt transfer past Love beyond words, and today its gotten worse now - DT SDIOT wont transfer past - Misunderstood, sorry for the long story but its really starting to piss me right off, Any body any ideas of what the problem could be and how to fix it, much Thanks Sean.

First things first- how the hell do you transfer CD tracks into an mp3 player?

It could be that the CD's protected and won't allow copying (I've had encounters of it before), or the CD's damaged or corrupted.

Try doing the transfer on another computer. f it's a software problem, then it should be okay. If it happens again, it could be the CD then.

That sounds like a weird problem.

Does your MP3 transfer software rip directly from CD to your player? If it does, you should try to get a program that rips from CD to MP3 file on your machine--and then try to play the file on your computer before transferring it. The full-up version of Nero comes with an MP3 ripper. I heard that Windows Media Player can do it, but I haven't tried to figure it out.

There's a possibility that your transfer software is getting confused by a corrupt CD--or one that has an intentional checksum error designed to cause copy software to try to re-read the sector until it gives up. If this is the case, you can create a reasonable MP3 copy by using recording software, such as Yogen. It works by copying everything that goes through your sound card.
