My daughter (who remembers Ayami?) says hi to everyone at the Tavern! I know she lurks here from time to time and recently she and her boyfriend and I have been watching a lot of anime together, so she's getting back into it a little. He's a huge fan of course.

Megan sent me this pic today. Last year she started her first job working as a test technician at Mercedes high performance engines in Northamptonshire where they design and build the formula 1 engines, so since September she's been running and adjusting stuff on the new V6 engines.

It was the first race of the 2014 season last weekend at Melbourne in Australia and Nico Rosberg won for the Mercedes works team. The trophy was sent to the Merc engine plant so the employees could all have a look at it and Megan had this photo taken.

She might even have adjusted parts and fitted components onto the engine that won the race.

I'm hugely proud of her!
