I don't remember which shipping I picked, but it was shipped via DHL and I do remember I picked the cheapest Amazon shipping there was. Unfortunately for international orders Amazon.jp doesn't have tracking.

I hope you get yours soon too. Make sure you let us know which scene you got!

I'm still having some trouble with my digi-camera, otherwise I would have posted a pic by now. Sorry.

I ordered from Amazon.com.jp (Japan) they always say it'll take about a month to ship but mine came in a little over a week. Same for my other orders from them. (I live in the US - CA).

I hope you get a cool block, I've been looking at mine all day!

Wooohoooo!!!! I got my film clip!

It's one of Howl when he's looking out of the hole that Sophie made when she crash-lands in the castle. He's leaning out and talking to Turniphead. I'll try to get a pick for you guys soon!

ugh... seeing that I'm kind of annoyed that some people purchased a bunch just to resell it and try to make a profit, especially the really nice scenes. oh well

I hope mine is nice. I have to wait a long time for it tho.... sea mail.... sigh.... waiting...waiting....

ps. I wonder if anyone got a clip of Howl flying in the flower garden. That is my favorite scene.

Hey there, just thought I would post this email from the Nausicaa list-server. If you have Turner Classic Movies in your cable channel line-up. You may be able to catch a Ghibli showing in January. I'm sure it won't be fun to have commercial breaks but hey, at least you get to see the ones you may not own.:

Ahh... I know how you feel... I KNOW how you feel. I have pre-ordered the region 2 DVD and will need to rig my DVD player to play it. That is the extent of my withdrawal. There is no release date for the US region 1 DVD yet, except to say a vague Spring 2006.

The only thing I can suggest is the trailers. I think I have about 10 different Howl trailers collected from oh so many sites....

Unintentional name shortening: "Japanese"

I just wanted to say that one of my posts had the subject name "Howl's Moving Castle Special Edition Pre-Order Started - Region 2 Jap "

I actually typed the subject as "Howl's Moving Castle Special Edition Pre-Order Started - Region 2 JAPANESE VERSION"

but I didn't know that the subject characters were limited and the word "Japanese" was inadvertently cut off at "Jap".

I myself being Japanese, know that the term "Jap" can be very offensive and considered racist so I just wanted to post this to say that it unintentional and I hope no one was offended by it. Or if they were, that they understand that it wasn't intentional.

I actually thought The Cat Returns was a bit scary. Don't get me wrong. I love cats and all (hahah my cat IS named Haru), but a procession of cats coming to one's house at night. Then dragging Haru off to be wed. The cat in the jelly. It was all just a bit eerie.

I still enjoyed it and have the DVD, but yes.. eerie.

I remember reading something that Miyazaki did not allow any cuts to any of his movies. That was the agreement that was made for Disney to release any of the Ghibli movies. But I still found the lines they ADDed to be a bit annoying.
