hahaha, don't wanna do the conversion, but the speed of sound thru the air is roughly 1129 feet per second, much slower that thru water...

I have read recently that the new Red Cross guideline for CPR is that the rescue breaths are no longer considered necessary. Just do the chest compressions, about 15 a minute for an adult, and that is sufficient...

What is the word over there?

Well, I did get taught CPR about two months ago. And it certainly involves rescue breaths, without exception. What you'd read may just apply to one particular type of incident only...

Like you, I was taught rescue breath's and until I'm taught different that is what I will do, but I just mentioned it as a bit of idle info... I'm going to look into it some more and I'll let you know what I find out...

The term 'decimation' comes from a practice of the Roman army. Soldiers were lined up and every tenth one stepped forward. The 9 before him then beat him to death. Or something like that... O_O

And in Anciet Greece, if you came home without your shield, you were as good as dead because it was a sign you'd dropped everything and ran. (What if you genuinely lost your sword...?!)

...did not know that.

An insult... to tip?
I recall something my mom said about somewhere that it's considered rude not to burp after a meal because burping is a symbol of enjoying your food. But this may not have been true, I dunno.

And.. well... The JACK of hearts is the happiest looking one in the deck of cards at least in most decks!

How could it take you so long to realise that?

Hmmm, I can't think of any facts. Maybe it's because I talk so much rubbish normally. xD

Do you have a bow tie that squirts water too?

Did you know that if you laid end to end on the ground all the matchsticks that come in a standard carton (which contains 144 boxes of matches - av. contents 36) you'd have a sore back?

Well...considering how much mail I get through Canada post? It's not really surprising...and my parents bring in the mail...I don't even look on weekdays.

Edit @ Husky: Hehe, yeah. I guess I knew but never paid attention to it. And no, you're right, there isn't...I asked my dad and he gave me a weird look.

Wow, fen. You ARE a Canadian, right? Well at least you know that there's no mail on Sundays, which is pretty standard is most places anyway.

If you had eyes like a fly, you couldn't watch television properly. The eyes of a fly see each and every frame on a video, so it's like watching stills instead of motion.
