Chances are this is old because I'm a recent addition to the boards but I was impressed so thought I'd post it.

Is there a better quality version somewhere? I thought this was great. A movie competition would be nice maybe we could get some more of these happening.

Never saw it. Paley... sounds familiar.

There are a few scenes in that music video I have never seen from any ghibli movies or shorts before, most notably the one of a man in really old traditional japanese clothing preparing to shoot an arrow, an later a woman of the same dressing style having an argument of sorts (same movie, I assume).

Does anyone know where those come from?

Mononoke clips are a bit overdone. ^_^ I dont blame him for doing so.

I hope it's someone from here who directs/compiles it. It's quite very neat and seems a lot of effort has been put into.

I'd have to watch my videos again to be sure -- and probably wrong -- but I think the guy with the arrow might be from Nausicaa.

I really liked it.. didnt recognise who the arrow boy was.. Definitely not from Nausicaa!
Near the beginning of the fourth minute there was a scen of like royal procession with people on horses, and eventually a scen where this girl was fallind from the sky with ravens around her. Are they from Cat Returns?

Is the origional a larger size with better resolution? If it is are you able to upload it for us?

There are free sites such as rapidshare and filefront so it wouldn't waste your bandwidth.

Hello everyone.
Amazing video !!!
I was wondering if you could tell me the name of the movies where the following scenes take place:
1) Girl on the subway leaning to a men reading a book
2) Scene where the japanese (?) letters lift off from the paper
3) Scene where an old man waves it's hand and the tree gets covered in flowers

i'm asking this because i've already seen princess mononoke, whisper of the heart and howl's moving castle, the ones i'd like to see next are the ones where these scenes take place, oh ... and after those ... all the other ones .

I can tell you #1 is from Ghiblies ep.2. (Where the guy with the glasses ends up missing his stop and having to ride to the end of the line because the girl is still asleep on his shoulder.

#2 is from Spirited away. Yubaba gets Chihiro to sign the contract and she signs her full name, but then Yubaba lifts three out of four of the kanji in Chihiro's name away and the only kanji left is the one for "Chi" (in Chihiro), or "Sen". And that's how Chihiro becomes Sen.

#3 I'm pretty sure (although not as sure) that it MAY be from Pom Poko. The old man is the old tanuki turned human. (Although it's been a while since I saw that movie and I'm STILL waiting for a Pom Poko DVD.)
