That's a good point. If I recall some of the characters in Haibane Renmei had cutesy voices but it didn't bother me as much because the other female characters, like Reki, had more mature voices that provided balance. I'd just like to see a better range of female characters represented, that's all.
Which is why Misa Misa is so terrible. I mean she's like the only goddamn female in the entire show, and she's a horrible airhead of a human being. Half the time she's barely more than a pawn in a game between two dudes.
