FOUND IT!!!!!

Whew!, this wasn't easy for me for one major reason...

The English dialog didn't match up with the sub-titles...

I, a number of times, watch with the subs on even if the dialog is in English because of my minor hearing loss. Without it I sometimes miss some of the dialog and have to back up and repeat.

The dialog matched the "Quote" given, but was quietly said in the dialog. AND, the subtitle said, "...cucumembers, garbage bags, lightbulbs"...

BTW, this is the Disney version...

anyway, the scene is when 'Father' gets up and gives a speech at a wedding...

Nope, but the movie reminds very much of Nausicaa. The next thing the character says to the animal is:"Help me carry your master". That should show the size of the animal and which movie it is.

I'd say it was from Arietty, but which of the scenes, off hand I can't recall, I'll have to review the movie again to be sure. Sounds like something Pod would say.
