Um, I'm not. ._. I can find a manga picture of him later on if you'd like. It's seriously a guy. There's a part that proves it but I ignored it. ^^; He looks best as Mailman-san but I guess he gave that up after he realized he was gay.

ye chobits isnt bad at all.. ive seen the first few episodes but thats all. i couldnt get over all the references though, every time i watched it i was looking for more after the first couple.

Technically, Chii is a robot, not a girl 
Chobits is by CLAMP, same people that created Cardcaptor Sakura and Tsubasa Chronicles. But it's much more mature... in the graphical sense *hint*hint*.
Story's about a guy, Hideki, who falls for his robot persocon Chii, in a future where human-shaped robots replace computers.

For some reason I've never really understood the appeal of women with cat ears. It's always just seemed kind of, I don't know . . . weird, for lack of a better term. Maybe it's just me.

Hehe, I knew that was a Kaze-Hime piece as soon as I saw it. 
And I dunno about the ears thing. I think it's often quite cute. But then there's the full-on anthro art, which I find stupid for the most part, especially since a lot of it is hentai.

Only because you saw the first one first. The other way around I'd expect people's opinions to be reversed.
It was interesting that while editing it I noticed her head is a distorted shape. The artist hasn't started with a symmetrical oval for the skull then added detail, they started with the detail and worked down which is technically not the way to draw (or paint).
But I'm not an artist, its just the way I was taught.
I particularly like the hair in this picture though, and the shading of the yukata and obi, very nice.

Ah, I've got several different versions of that, recolourings edits with the figure taken out and such but I have never seen that one. I think it's nicer than all the reworked ones despite the odd heavy edging to the hair. I like the colours in it.

@Saddles: "references" as in homages and appropriations of other anime series.. for example when the main character finds the persecom girl she is wrapped up in white bandages for no apparent reason other than to look alot like a scene from Elfen Lied (havent seen all of either series so you dont have to take my word on that though). also, while humanoid computers are very popular in anime, i still see the fact that the persecoms can link up via a cable from the back of their neck as an obvious GITS reference.

Really?? But Jin and Mugen are so .... cool. theres no other word for it, theyre just really cool. Fuu plays the most important part in character dynamics and relationships i guess. and it is her story fueling the main plot but that might be why i like the others more..

And yeah, that's a really gorgeous picture, even more so because she doesn't have that ridiculous G-cup boobs of hers.
On the subject of cat ears, I don't lik them either. Personally, I never saw the allure of girls with animal features like tails, ears, etc etc, but then I'm no fan of cosplay either, so that may be it.
I'm kinda old-fashioned, I prefer my girls traditional and sweet, compared to leather tights and sexy looks (turns me off, actually).
