Death Note to me wasn't that great. The L arc was pretty good, almost wish I stopped after that. I didn't really like the continuation, but thats just me.
Light and L are really the only decent characters, well, maybe Ryuk. But I just never really felt attached to the characters or cared what they did. Its sorta like a non-mecha Code Geass with less blood and less girls. To each his own though.
