Highlight:
After two and a half years of studying while working full time, I was able to get an apprenticeship in my company as a software engineer!
This is really a bid deal for me considering I don't come from a tech/ STEM background at all. I'm also happy because for the first time I'm hoping to have some financial stability in my adult life. Until AI makes my job obsolete... but until then I'm grateful!

I was going to say just the same thing! It's good to hear from you, but sad to hear your job wasn't so great. I hope you move onto something better!

HL: I got to do a lot of creative writing today, which I do every morning, but it's great to spend some solid time on it when I have the time on the weekend.
LL: Looking for a casual job alongside my two part-time roles in education.
Husky, I'm very sorry to hear that your ex-wife passed away.
It's great news that your CT scan was clear though!

It's been a while, so the biggest highlights from the last few months...
I love my new job. I work from home translating video games now. I don't think I can ever go back to an office job... I have so much more time and energy to look after myself and my home now. It's done wonders for my well-being. And the work itself is enjoyable too! It could pay better, but with all the other benefits it brings, I can't complain about that.
More recently... I fell in love. Very unexpectedly. With someone who lives thousands of miles away. 125 million people in this country, but no, I had to fall for a Greek. We'll meet in person for the first time in February. I'll visit home for a week and then spend another with her in Athens. One of the craziest things I've ever done, but... like a lot of the big, scary decisions I've made in life, this feels like something I have to do. Like it's too important to give up on without at least trying.

Oooooh Kaz, that's great! Both parts!!
I kept wondering what you'd been doing for work lately, so I'm glad to hear translation work has come together for you AND that it's going well! And wow wow WOW good luck with your new romance! I know well that that kind of situation isn't easy, but it's worth persevering!!
