Most schools have a common room in some shape or form. Lul. There's one at uni as well.
...I wish I went to Hogwarts, though. Seriously.
I'm currently answering a survey, and stressing about a bit of work I need to submit tonight.

Yeah, common rooms are fairly - if you'll pardon the pun - common. JK Rowling didn't just invent them!

The only 'common' rooms that I was ever aware of in school was the cafeteria. In some schools it was used as a room to hang around in while waiting for school to start.
When my oldest was going to junior high I remember that there was a game room at one school that would hold about 40 kids, but you had to be an ASB member to use it. It cost maybe $3 a school year for an ASB card, but it got you discounts on school dances and yearbooks, etc...
OOPS, topic.
I am again sitting in the library because my laptops are not cooperating at home...
The common room at my school is for Sixth Form members only, and it is where we can do work or chill out and it is open from about half seven in the morning till four in the afternoon.

Oh my god! How do Americans afford university/college?! Those are some ridiculous costs!!
I'm going to school at a rather expensive university by Canadian standards. Most of us make more money than those across the border. o_O Yet their tuition is RIDICULOUS. That's over 3000~6000$ more than what I'll be paying!!
I went to check the cost of residence in the state nearest to me, and it's not much cheaper than my own. The meal plan is ridiculous too. (but I think I'll like my meal plan because all you do is swipe your card before you go in, and you can eat all you want o_O I don't think there's a limit)
What's weird is the tuition cost for the nearest American university is cheapest for students from there, ones from the nearest province, and.. oddly Canadians. The everyone else... O_e IT'S LIKE ALMOST TRIPLE.

Come to Scotland, tuition is free~. o3o Though... hm, I don't know about overseas students actually, ha.
At the moment... I'm trying to read some posts in a forum on a French website that I use often to get pictures of any Asian bands... I've been learning French for the last two semesters at university so this is probably good practice. The odd thing I'm putting into Google Translate is returning some interesting results though. Apparently this girl says "I sometimes listen to large turnips."
...seems legit. >.> <.<

"Large Turnips"? great band... lol
jus' finnin' with ya, Kaz... lol
I went to an English-French site and it gave this...
large = grande
turnips = plantes potagères
but it had another word after 'potageres', ' raves nfpl ' (noun, feminine plural)
If the meaning is a slang, or otherwise, for 'big raves' it would make more sense, oui?

Heh, I looked it up on a more accurate site and saw that the word she used, "navets", I think, can mean turnips but is also a pejorative term meaning trashy TV or music.

Recording some vocal covers. Though, since my throat hurts and my chest hurts I should probably give it a rest now.
