Could be fake.
A google search yields nothing except for message posts asking about its wikipedia entry.
The corresponding Japanese wiki page doesn't appear to have it listed.

If it's supposed to be released in less than two weeks, I expect somebody would've heard of it by now. So I suppose it's a joke. Not the most hilarious joke ever, but a joke anyway.

Doesn't necessarily mean it doesn't exist, just that it isn't a theatrical release. The question is whether it is just completely made up or if there is some product called "Chronicles of Sasoke" related to Studio Ghibli.

That spelling yields even less results, and seems even less likely.

Methinks it is a joke or hoax. The only way I can pervert the spelling into something Japanese is to pronounce it Saw - Soak. Phonetically, that's not very far off from the way Japanese would pronounce "sasoku." It means "immediate" or "quickly" The Hawaiian translation of the word would be "Wiki." Hmmmm....

And I didn't even realize my post disappeared
Anyway, it's a hoax, end of story. Any news of a new Ghibli production would have been big news in the anime world by now, and would at least have appeared on Nausicaa.net.
Absence of both would, of course, indicate false rumours.

It's a wikipedia page, it can be edited by anyone. Last I checked, there was no corresponding entry on the Japanese wiki page.
