At my age I always get it mixed up... by PRC are you refering to the mainland or the island?

And yes, right now we seem to be having a bit of a slump in activity, but this happens occasionally...

For husky51さん's question, PRC refers to the mainland, and the Chinese on the island still use the name "ROC".
As you know there is only one China in the world so we all called it China but the formal name which is admitted now is PRC....

I also think the tavern here lacks some energy and we should be vital...

Thank you for your answer, supertrf... I always get it confused.

The nearest that I ever came to PRC was when I was in Hong Kong when it was still a British Colony and I was over on the Kowloon side and looking over the gate and fence into PRC.

As for ROC, my ship made an emergency stop in Kaoshung for one day to offload a badly injured shipmate. Some of the crew were able to go ashore, but I was not as I had the duty...
