Just thinkin' of Azumanga Daioh | |
I haven't watched Azumanga Daioh in a long time, and it is one of my favorite shows and manga of all time. I was just thinking of when Osaka was playing her flute in music class and she was terrible at it, then the scene cuts to her playing the flute in the same awful manner, but in English class!! Haha, and Miss Yukari yells, "Osaka shut the hell up!" Hahaha!
As a teenage boy my favorite girl was Sakaki (for obvious reasons), but I have come to enjoy the comedy trio which is the knuckleheads (Osaka, Tomo, and Kagura) as well as Miss Yukari (who is pretty much me in woman form, and I'm not a teacher... yet).
What's your guys' favorite Azumanga moment and gal (or guy if you like Kimura, I think he's funny as hell)?

I'll have to re-watch it again to decide that.
Off the top of my head, is when the girl keeps getting her hand bitten by the cat. We all know what is going to happen, but her hope springs eternal....

Tough choice!
Sasaki is very cool, and she's in the running for top spot. But I think I have to go with Osaka, who is just adorable. There are many excellent Osaka moments, but I might pick the "incredible yawn".
Heh heh.
I love Azumanga Daioh, it's so funny and yet sentimental.

...and because its based on a cartoon strip and has no overlying storyline you can just drop a DVD in the player and randomnly watch 15 minutes and enjoy it. I like that lack of investment in my entertainment.

Totally, I love that trio (perhaps some law of the opposites... I'm more on the intelectual side )
Just to think of them makes me smile.

For some reason, I'm dubbed Osaka by people. XD Including my sister. I don't know if it's the accent or what. Some guy was talking to me and randomly blurted out "Osaka".
After watching it, I noticed similarities. XD

What do you mean from the south?! XD
North east according to my old car. :'D
What? Most Canadians live south! I think..
I don't even have the typical accent for my area. I have one from another province. lol But my Ontario friend enjoys pointing out my speech. Because I don't speak proper English at all and my words are cut up and I speak really fast. XD Not as bad as someone from NFLD, but close.. close..
It isn't noticable on some days.

Oh, Man... I forgot how funny that scene was.... thanks, Jelly
seems like Chiyo-chan and Osaka-chan were always having problems and not always realizing that they were having problems...
