Oh man when i saw the japanese poster for the new ghibli movie i went mind ballistic! a anime movie about humans and dragons livivng together? sounds just like Eragon in anime form^_^
i hope it comes out next year in the U.S.^o^

Hiya Himeprincess! 
The US theatrical release of Howl was in June 2005, while the Japanese release started in Nov 2004. You may expect a similar time lag for the next movie. So most probably Gedo Senki won't reach US until 2007.

I'm also curious about this next release. I hope it can match up to the standards of Hayao Miyazaki's films.
I also wonder if it will get a theatrical release in the U.S., which will have a big effect on the lag time between Japanese and American releases.
A theatrical release would speed up translation...of course if you miss it at the theater like I did with Howl you have to wait a longer time.
