Okay, I finally saw them! Ghibli's Ep 1 + 2. They were... how can I put it... entertaining? Heh, unless they both come on one disc then I wouldn't purchase it

Hehe, I loved them because they're so different to anything I'm used to....like the *SPOILER ALERT* random air guitar playing.

The Yamada's is similar to Ghibli's i think, in way of animation style at least. So I can relate when you say you aren't used to it cuz not many studio's animate in that style.

One thinkg though, I notice that the official box set is in Japanese. Where did the bootleggers get the English audio? Is there another set that has the English dubbing?

They got the English audio by stealing those products that had the English track.

On the R2 Japanese disks, there are English dubs on Laputa, Porco, Totoro, and Howl (and probably on Kiki but I don't have that one on R2).

Disney added English dubs for several of the films. I think the Fox version of Totoro is the one on the Japanese version. Grave was done by yet another outfit.

The fact that the English dubs came from a variety of different sources is self-evident proof of the set's bootleg status.
