She is! Thanks guys. It was funny at the end of the race when the trophies were being given to the drivers. The winning team also receives a trophy for the constructors championship and the man who accepted the one on behalf of the Mercedes team was Megan's boss, director of the engine manufacturing company.
She said... "Oh, I've never ever seen him smile. He's always so serious in the office!"
Trophy given to Rosberg at 1:45 and to Andy Cowell at 2:00:

That is mega cool! What an inspiration! Seriously, that kind of work is something I'd be so terrible at, it takes such skill and intelligence, you must be mega proud. Plus it's always nice to see a young woman kicking butt in a male-dominated workplace!

Thank you NC!
We have been so lucky having an awesome daughter. She has been amazing all her school life, always liked school and worked hard. We've got close friends who have struggled all the way with their children, sometimes coming close to wrecking the family.
She got obsesed with motor racing and automotive engineering about 5-6 years ago and she loves it. She's so lucky to land such a great job in an industry she likes. I hope she gets an invite from the company/team to go to a race weekend one day, that would make her dream come true.
Aww I'm so happy for Ayami! It's great to hear she went after her dream. I wish her the best of luck moving forward. I'm sure she'll achieve whatever goals she sets.
Nice! You definitely should be proud. I'm very happy to hear that she got to do what she wanted and everything is going so well for her.

I remember how thrilled she was to go to a Mercedes facility that was involved with F1 Racing and her posts about it... Definitely following her career choice...
I know your pride, Saddles...

Thank you again everyone for your kind comments.
That Mercedes facility was where she now works - she went there for 2 weeks as a school work experience program about 2-3 years ago. She knew then it was where she wanted to be. She also likes being in an industry full of cool young guys(!), apparently the working environment is really fun and everyone is like her - obsessed about fast cars. There's also a really strong green/environmental side to the Formula 1 engine industry now, Bernie Eccleston and the FIA committee have swung the sport around in the last 10 years from something totally out of touch with the real world to a very lean sport financially and with all the technology aimed towards being fed down into the commercial road vehicle industry so Ayami is working on cutting edge technology that in 10 years time will be in your cars on the road. This all helps us drive our fossil fuel vehicles for a few more decades.

I'd go so far as to say that she is making her own luck... Way to go, Ayami...

Oh, you have changed. Just as lovely as always, though.

Ah, sorry Roar! I took it down because I like to keep the Tavern private from other aspects of my life, and so it would bother me if friends came across it (sometimes I refer to using a ghibli/anime forum).
I'll post another one sometime and you can try and catch it then
what NC said is one of the contradictions of my life. But i am not entirely sure why i feel that way.

I'm back home! I'll sort through my pictures in a while but since I shared my face with you after my last trip, I guess I'll continue the tradition. Won't be up too long though xP

Ahh, I see Fen for the first time! You pretty lady you. You're quite as I imagined you actually. That looks like a really nice place you're at there.
Fen are you somehow related to the indian subcontinent? You look very very similar like the people here.
