I agree though. There are only a few that post regularly. Hm.., maybe we should go more in depth about stuff.
I'll break the ice....Princess Mononoke, yea, it's my favorite Ghibli movie,yea, people are upset about the whole Disney thing, but think about it...
These kind of films really affect me as an artist. The beauty in Miyazaki's films can really take you out of reality. That's why I want to make animated films like that.
Somehow, they have more heart in them.
Well, that's my view. Why do yall love these films?
Afterall, they're for everyone and there's probably tons of reasons why you guys joined this forum.
Give us your Ghibli love story^_^.

Ghibli or Gibli (in japan) mean a name of miyazaki's uncle ship!!.... understand??...
i mean.....miyazaki has a uncle when world war 2....i dunno what's the year it is.... his uncle has a ship....the ship (a small plane to war!!....).... the ship's brand is Gibli!!....that's why how the name came from....it's also mean 'spinning fire' (i think...if wrong, i dunno laaa...)
that's all....if you want to know more, ask Miyazaki in tokyo!!...hehehee...just joking.... ^_^'

I only started watching anime in general about 5 years (dunno for sure) ago, when my mom brought me home a rented copy of Princess Mononoke, and I was entranced, my mind nullified. I never spoke or moved during the movie. The real thing that go to me wasn't the classic story of the exile becoming the hero/man vs. nature, but the romance story bettween Ashitaka and San. It was flawless. That's what got me to appeciatte anime a lot more than I use to. Before that, all that I ever thought was that it was just some crappy cartoon made in Japan. You see I grew up on the coast, and there are a ton of rednecks down there, so that's what I was taught.
I joined this forum so that I could just talk with like-minded people.
No idea what *Ghibli* means. A relative?
*lol* Serigala sunyi..... that's priceless.....

lol... yeah... cuz some parts of the site, i make people register on the forum to download large media files..... ... this way i can save bandwidth and promote the forum
but most people who download still dont post

Yeah well, i was kinda a regular before being whisked off to army camp, but anyway, most ghibli forums r dead anyway. Im a regular at wingsee and its only slightly better.
Btw Kayrol, Lonewolf means "serigala bersendirian". And if ur malaysian, alamak brader, bahasa sendiri pun fail ke?

We dont even have TV at my new camp. My posting was as a transport supervisor, and the camp where im taking courses is basically a ghost town. Or what i call Sleepy Hollow.
But really, the reason ghibli forums r almost dead is because theyre aint much to discuss after some time. Unless a new movie comes out or someone discovers smthng spectacular or stuff like that, its basically same old same old.
