why dont they make a movie from this??Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Post Report Post to a Moderator        IP Address Go to the top of this page

hello everyone
i think this animation will make a great movie!
i know its kinda long but they can make a trilogy out of it
this is really my favourite animation and im a huge movie fan and turing it into a movie would be fantastic and would also be the next step (u all know the story by now, novel to animation to movie). there is great material in the animation and it takes place in numerous settings. love the music 2 i got it on my laptop, the music however needs to be rewritten (i think). and i've got the whole series on cds 2.

any thoughts? comments?

thanks

Though the artistic side is a bit backward when compared with the present-day productions, I have to say the series has a very good plot, and well-developed characters. Many of them serve as the prototypes of the characters in Laputa.

Actually there was a theatrical release of Future Boy Conan back in 1984, as an extra feature of Nausicaa. However it was only an edited digest of the last three episodes of the series, ie "The End of Industria (24)", "Giganto (25)" and "Finale (26)".

i love Future boy conan TV series too.

but, Miya-san said that Conan's movie was not his work.
i think that, he was not doing the edit work of tha movie.

when Miya-san works with Mr.Yasuo Otsuka, they makes a wonderful work.
because Miya-san trust Mr.Otsuka, technically, as a partner of work.
but, Mr.Otsuka knows Miya-san was rewriting the face of Lana, Claris after Mr.Otsuka returns to the house. lol.

Same here! It's one of my favorite of all his works (though I just saw On Your Mark {thank you Online Ghibli!} and am enamored with it at the moment.)

The movie that you are referring to is Future Boy Conan 2: River Adventure, which was not directed by Miyazaki; however, the movie mentioned above by Jiji, Future Boy Conan: The Revival of Giganto, was in fact a condensed version of the series' last three episodes, all directed by Miyazaki-san .
