The film is not very long, just 75 min, and as far as I know it is the shortest Ghibli feature film. Just finish your work as soon as possible. I am sure that you can squeeze that one hour 15 min out.

Anyway I think you should buy the film comics for Neko (or the original manga by Aoi Hiiragi). If you really like the film, just reading a few pages can already boost you up. It can also temporarily satisfy your mental hunger/thirst for being "starved" for not seeing the film for quite some time. My Kiki comics work well for my public exams.

I just saw "The Cat Returns" this morning. It was one of the strangest, but one of the cutest movies I've ever seen. It is more of a children's movie, but I enjoyed it a lot.

omg i LOVE baron!!! he has the most charming personality even though he's a cat, you can't help but swoon over him *^^* i thought Haru was a cute character. i also liked muta and natoru just cause they were so funny! this is now my favourite Ghibli movie!

I absolutely LOVE the Cat Returns (hence my name, hehe).

It's my second fave Studio Ghibli movie (behind Spirited Away). It's just so cute, and I love cats, and it's also really funny.

I really thought the Baron was cute too. I could see why Haru was taken with him. And it's so nice to see *somewhat* of a continuation of the Baron and Muta/Moon from Whisper of the Heart (another favorite Ghibli movie of mine).

I actually thought The Cat Returns was a bit scary. Don't get me wrong. I love cats and all (hahah my cat IS named Haru), but a procession of cats coming to one's house at night. Then dragging Haru off to be wed. The cat in the jelly. It was all just a bit eerie.

I still enjoyed it and have the DVD, but yes.. eerie.

I think that The Cat Returns is a totally brilliant movie!! It's sweet, romantic, funny, cute, and is generally awesome. I also think that the song at the end by Ayano Tsuji is one of the best songs in any Ghibli film. If only Baron was real...
