In this case I am sure that it was a story repeated many, many times over...

Truely unfortunate, but that is what happens sometimes when the bureaucracy (?) decides to hold a war and invite the population along whether they want to participate or not... (sorrry, snide comment)

A lot of civilans end up paying the ultimate p[rice...

And THAT, IMO, is what is being shown in this movie...

Just one story of many.

I saw around 20 mins of grave of the fireflies but then my brothers said turn it off cause thay couldent bare it
