Could everyone use this thread instead of the old one, the old one was missing some vital characters.
(please don't bring up an argument if i miss out some characters)
I have done my best to try and fit every character i know into this, useing several characters for one option.
So if you don't like one of the characters on the option please note so.

It's a close tie between Ashitaka/San and Marco/Fio/Gina. Ashitaka and San are the characters I'd like to be like and who I admire the most, but Marco and Gina are the most interesting characters, because they are so unlike any other Ghibli characters. So I'll say Ashitaka and San are my favorite characters, but Marco and Gina the most interesting characters

Oh my gosh no Kiki!? I'm sorry, I shouldn't have brought it up.... I just couldn't help myself.

I'll vote for Haru. She's awesome!

Same here. It's a wonderful movie but I can't watch it too often, because I'm always an emotional wreck after it

Saying that the standard British animation is on-par (or at least good) with Ghibli does not make him a betrayer of Miyazaki.

I totally agree with Hopexx5!!!

There is nothing wrong with british animation like Wallace and Gromit, and even though they are both forms of animation you can't compare them because they are still a whole different kettle of fish!!!!!
I am British and I love Wallace and Gromit I think it is one of the most creative things about and is part of british culture, just like miyazaki's work is one of the most creative thing about and is part of Japanese culture, but I still LOVE BOTH!!!!

Wallace and Gromit are Stop Take animation whereas Ghibli films are more of a flicker pad style!!!

I, too, think that they are both very funny and creative, but Japanese anime IMO is in a class by themselves. I just cannot think of anything American or British that compares. Good, yes, by all means, but not in the same style or way. If that is understandable...

yeah!!! that is what I was trying to say they are both good!!! but because they are a different style completely it is unfair to compare them!!!
