Every year I buy DVD for my bday, and I'm really hoping to see Kokuriko Hill out soon, especially when the movie's been out for over half a year.
So... news?
Also, vote for my next purchase!

Agreed. I too have to be in the mood and abled to fully concentrate to watch Nausicaa (and Mononoke hime), but Porco rosso is something I can enjoy all the time

I said Porco because like most have already said I can watch it when ever unlike Nausicca.... But I disagree with Nausicca being better. IMO I think Porco is one of Ghibli's best, not so much with Nausicca. Don't get me wrong I like Nausicca but prefer Porco!!

Part of the reason i love Nausicaa so much is because she is such a cool character. Probably the smartest Ghibli character there is and just oozing with awesome. Its the same with San in Mononoke, except i think San is cooler but less intelligent. Both are excellent though, i like the way Porco's animations are brighter than most other Ghibli's as well.
Any idea what your going to go for Roar?

Both are good. I prefer movies with a serious tone in it, but with Porco I can watch it with the whole family.
I'm leaning more towards Nausicaa, but voters are telling me to buy a pig, lol.
Oddly enough, even as a muslim, it won't be my first pig purchase

Awesome! Porco Rosso has a little bit of everything. I really like how classy it is and all its references to Fleischer animation (Popeye).
As for Nausicaa, I really enjoy the film but after reading the Manga there is no comparison in the story, the animation is still awesome though. The opening theme is probably my favorite.

Sounds about right. R2 DVDs are usually at that price. What of it?

Nothing, I was just surprised at how expensive it was, I got Porco for £6.99.
