From Up On Poppy Hill UK Release Date?

I apologise if this question has already been asked elsewhere, but does anyone know when 'From Up On Poppy Hill' is going to be released in the UK? Be it in the cinemas or on DVD? Will Optimum Asia be releasing a numbered version? I'm itching to see it!

Well, for the English dub, Disney has to go through the process of buying it off of Ghibli, I guess..? All I know is Disney needs to get a license so that all English versions shown in theatres/sold are Disney. So I guess it'll come out when all of the paperwork is done. I can't wait!

Well I am sure I read somwhere that for the UK it will be out this summer, but don't hold me to it, can't remember the source so might not be reliable, but like you I was interested in knowing. As for the US sorry husky but I wouldn't have a clue, but most Ghibli's are released in America first what with Disney dubbing them, unless I am mistaken.

Ponyo was released summer 2008 in Japan and the UK got it same time 2009, I remember this because I said I was going to go see it in the summer holidays when I was in year 10, never did though, anyway, the same went for Arrietty it took a year for it to be released in UK after it was released in JApan, so we got it around the same time Japan was relaesing From Up On Poppy Hill. So by my calculations, and the patterns that appear I can take an educated guess that if From Up On Poppy Hill was released summer 2011 in Japan it will be released in summer 2012 in the UK. It might be a little earlier for America as what I said above applies.

Hope this helps, although it is not solid fact, it is a guide as to the possibility when it might come out.
