This sounds like some mumbo-jumbo from an eastern philosophy (or a watered down cherry-picked western version of an eastern philosophy), not what Miyazaki really thinks.
Words are interesting things, they all have specific meanings. If evil has good in it, then by the definition of the word itself, its not evil. The same is true of saying there's evil in good; how can there be?
The whole thought process above is far too simplistic.
In essence I agree with Roar here.
As for panel 3, I have a one word response to that; "Ashitaka".

I really dont understand what is so serious about this.
For me i think a man can not be completely good or evil so trying to be one is foolish. We have to try to be good as much as we can.That is what the artist wanted to say i think.
And Miyazaki did not draw this so i think it can not be considered totally valid.

Ashitaka you said but i do not agree Ashitaka controlled his power that was the meaning of the story he could have killed a great number of people due to the power he held but he did not.And Ashitaka certainly does not represent disney prince from any angle.
