Happy Valentines all, I've got the girlfriend Chocolates, flowers and a card, I know it's cliché but she generally loves it all.
I'm also cooking this evening, popping to my local butchers and shop to get some Lamb Shanks and red wine.
Planning to cook
Braised Lamb Shanks with sautéed savoy cabbage, Vichy carrots, Fondant Potatoes and a red wine jus.

So I told my mom about my not-a-date, and she got emotional and possibly started crying, saying I'd run away with him if this turned into a relationship and never come back.
This is why I will not tell her anything in the future (she wanted me to come home today despite the bad road conditions, but I told her I had plans).

EDIT: I'm really happy I met up with him today. haha He's kind of weird and crazy, but in a good way. I'm really used to the way he acts because of my friends/ex/myself. lol He likes to sing terribly no matter who's nearby. But at least he's really open and whatnot. haha I know he usually likes asking people he meets to hang out, and some find that weird (but I didn't after noticing his schedules and whatnot). I dunno, I enjoy his weirdness. I asked him to have dinner with me this week too.
He's fun to talk to and he really likes a lot of the same stuff as me so I was surprised about that. I'll be happy if something progresses with him. I know he's single and that he's not actively looking for a relationship. I'll just keep hanging out with him for now and see where things go.

That sounds great. Even if nothing progresses beyond a friendship you still have that and given the tone and content of so many of your recent posts its clear than a friend you can share time with is going to be good for you.

Yes! I'm so happy I finally have met him too because I never really saw him until this year. My friends have been pretty happy about this too because of how depressed I've been. I think meeting him and a couple other of my new friends has really brightened my life lately. I'm definitely very happy at the moment, if anything.
If things progress nicely, I'm hoping to at least confess to him, but not really hope for anything in return besides being friends. I don't like hiding feelings, especially since I think I will grow to really like him, so I'd at least want to tell him. I'm just going with the flow of things. He's easy to open up to and I notice he's starting to do the same with me. haha

Relationships? I still hold a grudge against my first crush for telling me she liked a guy who I punched in the face. 
Yeah, not too much going on in that department.
