I am very, very excited and can't wait for it too Unfortunately Ghibli haven't been showed in the theatre in my country and I've got to wait for the DVD releases only. *sobs*

Can't wait to see it...see if Goro matches up to his dad, and that's a pretty tough act to follow!
But...where I live the cinemas are really crap, and as I live in Stupidville (otherwise known as Kent), asian movies are only shown for a few days 'cos everyone here is to dim to appreciate them!

yeh it will be interesting to see how he does match up, but its in his blood so id say he'll do good for his first movie and progress more and more with each new movie.

Ghibli has completed Gedo Senki. It’ll be released soon. I read the director’s entire diary written by Goro on the net. From it, I got a good impression that he’s clever and wise and earnest and modest ……. But good humanity is not always directly connected with the ability of making a fantastic film. Therefore I can’t expect too much. But on the other hand I’m looking forward to watching it, because, no doubt, it must be beautiful. As fortunately live in Japan ,I can watch it at a theater soon.

Guess which one I voted for.

I won't speculate on the movie. It'll be disappointing to see it with hopes too high if it doesn't live up to it's rave.

When it gets to the states, it'll be in Seattle even if it plays limited release. Spirited Away was playing at the Neptune in the University District and one other in Ballard when it was only on 50 screens in the country.

Well, that totally sucks. But I'll just make the trip to Seattle and see it in whatever movie theater is showing it. It's not that far away from my house as I live in the Bellevue/Redmond area (of Washington State).

What is the UK cinema showing of Ghibli animés like? I only recently got into animé, but I know that Spirited Away and Howl's moving castle were both in cinemas... will it be long... or never for Gedo Senki to come across the pond to me in England??

Does anyone have any ideas?

There are plenty of good cinemas near me and my school *pokes out tongue at those less fortunate* ~ so I hope one of them will show it for a weeks or two

I'd say by the time the dubbing is recorded and whatnot it could be the end of this year early next year before we see it but i hope its sooner.
