Satoshi Kon is a fantastic director, its a pity he's not more famous.

This latest movie, 'Paprika', looks like a thriller, perhaps in the same vein as Perfect Blue. It will probably be great, but I wish he stuck to more mainstream movies like 'Tokyo Godfathers' and 'Millenium Actress'. The latter is particularly good and one of my favourite animes of all time, elequently made and brilliantly timed.

I'd watch one of his movies over Katsuhiro Ôtomo or Mamoru Oshii's any day. To me, Satoshi Kon and Ghibli movies are the best in anime history thus far.
