Ghibli films being shown at BFI in UK

I only just found this, so it is quite late and most of the showing lack seats. But i thought people would be interested. The BFI is running a Ghibli season in their cinema. See below link

Some of those are a little surprising, as it isn't just the usual suspects that are well-known among film critics. A good opportunity to check out ones that are rarely shown in cinemas in the UK!

Unfortunately the board's emoticon codes ruined the link and I had to reassemble it to get to the right page. I'll try reposting the link to see if I can get it to work properly. This should do it: https://whatson.bfi.org.uk/Online/defaul...nk=studioghibli

Only one screening of Kaze Tachinu, and that's sold out. That's a disappointment. I was expecting there to be several screenings of it.

I think the one showing of the wind rises is because it is a preview. General release in the UK is 9th May. I think cineworlds are going to show it.

It's getting a wide release in a major cinema chain? I'm surprised! I got the impression they usually didn't show much outside of small cinemas. I suppose that does tend to be different with Miyazaki films since Spirited Away though...

The Wind Rises was shown in a major local theater called the Krikorian. They show about 14 different movies at the same time and it was there for at least a week.
